FINALLY A GADGET TO REVOLUTIONISE THE BRITISH CUP OF TEA!
Drips and mess and scalded fingertips. That used to be part of the tedious routine for Doctor Martin Almond every time he made himself and his wife a cup of tea. Not anymore. Unlike the millions of us who struggle on, straining our tea bags with teaspoons – even our fingers – Almond has finally conquered the eternal dilemma of how to make a cup of tea with ease and without spills, by developing the teatool, a unique tea-making gadget!
Almond, grandfather of one, first took matters into his own hands five years ago. Acknowledging the continuous annoyance of messy tea making and concluding that there had to be a better way of dealing with dripping teabags than with a teaspoon or tongs, he sat down and began sketching …
Numerous different designs were developed to prototype level, which were then tested, amended, perfected – and finally developed into the teatool. The main mechanic of the teatool is a ‘cage’, operated from the handle enabling easy insertion of the tea bag, squeezing and disposal. This means a better-flavoured cup of tea, no burnt fingers and no more dripping teabags!
It is been a long journey, taking into account the various prototype stages and necessary patents – but the result is a unique gadget set to revolutionise tea making as we know it!
Doctor Martin Almond is thrilled with the product. He comments “The cup of tea has been a icon of British life since it first appeared in England in the 17th century and the teabag itself was introduced over 100 years ago - yet it has taken until now for someone to develop a product which will ensure the tea making process is simple and mess free.”
