VOLKSWAGEN COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AWARDS EXCELLENCE ACROSS THE UK

4 March 2008, Volkswagen Van Centres from across the UK have been honoured in the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles 2008 Awards of Excellence.

The winners were announced at a gala dinner hosted by TV and radio presenter, Gabby Logan, during a conference in Monte Carlo, recognising outstanding achievements in eight categories: Customer Service, Aftersales, Used Vehicles, People Development, Marketing, Fleet, Lifestyle, and Finance and Insurance. In addition, overall winning Van Centres were selected from comparable sized businesses in three leagues – Caddy, Transporter, Crafter.

The winners of each category were:

Customer Service: Martins Van Centre, Basingstoke, Hants
Aftersales: Eurovans (Eastbourne), East Sussex
Used Vehicles: Colbornes Van Centre, Guildford, Surrey
People Development: Southern Motor Group (Croydon), Surrey
Marketing: Breeze Van Centre (Poole), Dorset
Fleet: Volkswagen Van Centre (Lancashire), Preston
Lifestyle: Volkswagen Van Centre (Manchester)
Finance and Insurance:Cordwallis Heathrow, Middlesex

The overall winners in the Caddy, Transporter and Crafter leagues were:

Caddy league: South Hereford Van Centre, Herefordshire
Transporter league: Heritage Volkswagen Van Centre (Westbury), Wiltshire
Crafter league: Benfield Van Centre, Newcastle Upon Tyne

The 2008 Awards of Excellence coincided with celebrations of another record year for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, plus the launch of a new model – the Caddy Maxi – which joins the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle van range between the best-selling Caddy and Transporter models.
