Superbreak offers new private tours of Hampton Court Palace

Superbreak is offering visitors a historic short break in London with the chance to take a trip back into the world of the Tudors via a private tour of Hampton Court Palace and privileged access to areas unseen by the general public.

Tudor fever is set to build in 2008 with the launch of the second season of the hit TV drama ‘The Tudors’ featuring Jonathan Rhys Myers and Peter O’Toole plus the preparations for the 500th anniversary of King Henry VIII’s accession to the throne in 2009. Explore this amazing time in history for yourself with a package that includes overnight accommodation and a private tour of this historic Palace.

This private tour will be led by one of Hampton Court's knowledgeable warders and will allow visitors privileged access to areas of King Henry VIII’s private apartments. The tour takes place at 9.15am and includes a visit to the new Young Henry exhibition, the Palace State Rooms, the Tudor Kitchens, the King's Apartments, the beautiful Baroque rooms of William III, the Queen's Apartments and the Georgian Rooms.

Hampton Court Palace promises a magical journey back through 500 years of royal history with the chance to also explore 60 acres of immaculate riverside gardens and get lost in the world-famous maze. Furthermore, in the year leading up to the 500th anniversary in 2009, the Tudor areas of Hampton Court Palace are being restored, bringing Henry’s court and the story of his reign back to his most famous residence.

Packages are currently available on 15 December and 12 January and more are to be added shortly. Visitors can purchase Hampton Court Palace Tickets through the Superbreak website and can stay overnight at the 4 star Chiswick Moran Hotel and enjoy a private tour of Hampton Court Palace at 9.15am the following morning. The price of £99 includes one night’s bed and breakfast accommodation based on two sharing a room and the tour.
