China outsourcing service helps manufacturers to slash costs

Manufacturers wishing to source their components from China can now take advantage of a comprehensive outsourcing service from Rencol. While it is well known that parts can be manufactured in China at much lower cost than in Europe, sourcing manufacturers and managing the supply chain can be full of pitfalls.

Having set up a successful outsourcing operation for its own manufacturing business, Bristol-based Rencol is now offering other manufacturers the benefit of its established supply chain. The company has a proprietary network of manufacturing and design facilities in China, covering a broad range of manufacturing disciplines including plastic moulding, tooling, metal stamping, die casting and sub-assemblies.

Through its USA based sister company, Smart Sourcing Inc (SSI), Rencol offers a complete turnkey service, from finding factories through to handling quality assurance, oversight, logistics, importing and exporting.

SSI and Rencol have over 30 English and Chinese speaking support staff in Shanghai and Ningbo, including some 26 project engineers, quality control specialists and logistics coordinators who provide oversight and control of the whole manufacturing process.

All the primary Chinese manufacturing units have resident SSI engineers and quality personnel to ensure control throughout the manufacturing process. All tooling, injection moulding, die-casting, metal stamping and contract manufacturing facilities are ISO certified to ensure on-time delivery of quality parts.

From its warehousing facility in Bristol, Rencol provides a full stocking service of manufactured parts to ensure prompt and timely deliveries.

The resulting flexibility, reduced lead-times and large cost savings can lead to a massive improvement in manufacturers’ profitability.
