HYBRIS RECOGNISED BY GARTNER IN THE LATEST PIM MAGIC QUADRANT REPORT
…Gartner puts hybris in its PIM Magic Quadrant for the 1st time recognising the company’s growing position in the PIM market…
Munich – 26 June 2007: hybris, a leading product information management (PIM) and ecommerce vendor, today announced that it has been included for the 1st time in the Gartner Magic Quadrant of leading Product Information Management (PIM) vendors. The Gartner report, "Magic Quadrant for Product Information Management, 2Q07”, dated 21 June 2007, lists hybris along with other PIM vendors such as FullTilt Solutions, as well as larger vendors with PIM solutions such as SAP, IBM and Oracle.
Gartner estimates that in 2007 the PIM market will grow by about 40% to USD 460 million; the report also recognises that despite the presence of several vendors in the PIM space, no one vendor is yet a leader or dominates this growing market.
Ariel Lüdi, Chief Executive Officer of hybris, said; “We are delighted to be included in this important industry ranking report which recognises hybris as a key player in the PIM market. With our breadth of functionality in ecommerce and print catalogues, our suite of PIM solutions make us the one of the leading players in the market. In addition, we are the only best of breed PIM vendor in Europe that is independent of an ERP platform, with many of our competitors being tied to a proprietary platform.
“We can also support a range of enterprises from SMBs such as Digital Stores in the UK to global multinationals such as Puma and Blaupunkt. Our ability to support ecommerce-centric PIM solutions is a key factor in our success and we expect to see this driving much of our growth in the coming months as new customers find our support for their customer centric PIM requirements deliver the solutions they require,” he concluded.
Founded in Munich in 1997, hybris was able to successfully hold its own in the difficult economic climate of the early 2000’s by providing market leading technology and solutions. With a market share of five percent, and customers from various industries such as ICT, consumer goods, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and retail – including companies like Blaupunkt, chemfidence, DaimlerChrysler, Demag, XXXLutz and Virgin Retail – hybris is now a leading PIM market player.
hybris’ software solutions facilitate the consolidation, enrichment and administration of product data. Consequently, they create a “single source of truth” for product information in the company. This information is then utilised in turn for hybris applications in ecommerce, e-procurement, catalogues and database publishing.
About hybris
hybris, www.hybris.com, supplies standard software solutions for the media-independent management of product information and its distribution over both online and print channels.
Manufacturers, vendors, marketplace operators and purchasing companies consolidate and manage their entire product information in every language on one platform, in the process creating a “single source of truth”. Enterprises are able to supply online and print channels with information from this central hub. Integrated solutions for catalogue management, ecommerce, e-procurement and database publishing provide you with personalized and channel-specific data recycling throughout all electronic procurement and sales channels. This also means that print catalogues can be published without media fragmentation.
The hybris solution’s integrative approach to managing and recycling product information leads to a reduction in process costs, clearing the path for companies to add new sales and procurement markets at low cost. The return on investment with hybris is very fast. As hybris has selected to use standards-based and future-proof basic technologies in its solutions, investments are secure over the long term.
Established in 1997, the company is based in Munich and it has offices in the UK and Switzerland. hybris has over 1,000 customers and was recently awarded the European Retail Solutions Award for Best Use of ecommerce in a Retail Environment and European Retail Technology Solution of the Year 2006.
