Your wellness room – the soul of your home
The bathroom used to be the smallest room in the home, treated simply as a place to wash – a quick shower in the morning before heading off for work or a warm bath in the evening before bed. Nowadays however, we treat bathing as a tonic for our overall wellbeing – mental, emotional and physical. The bathroom is the only room in your home where you can escape from it (and them) all, if only for a short time each day, and indulge in some precious ‘me time’.
According to a trends survey of 1,000 UK households, conducted on behalf of Standard Life Bank[1], 61% of respondents said their bathrooms are becoming ‘wellness rooms/ areas’, as they increasingly turn to music, aromatherapy and candles, for example, to unwind and de-stress after a hard day’s work. More women than men believe this, as do more than 65% of respondents aged 25 – 34[2], which could reflect the increased stresses of workers during this stage of their careers.

Tips for enjoying your wellness room:
* Wait at least an hour after eating (or preferably bathe before you eat)
* Choose a time when you can relax without interruptions
* Take the phone off the hook
* Create the right atmosphere - perhaps with candles or soft music
* Choose a temperature that is comfortable for you – a warm bath is ideal to relax in
* Add your favourite Radox Aromatic Bath Essence
* Ensure your cleansing and beauty products are within easy reach
* Lie back and relax – use a bath pillow, if this feels more comfortable
* Take this Radox time out, to restore yourself and feel better
