Wales in Style showcases best of Welsh tourism

This year’s National Tourism Awards have confirmed that WalesinStyle.com and its members really do showcase the very finest of what Wales has to offer.

The Wales in Style website (www.walesinstyle.com) displays the excellence and variety available in Wales, providing a wealth of information for those looking for romantic weekend breaks or even outdoor activity holidays. Inclusion on Wales in Style is strictly by invitation only and all members must display high levels of personal service as well as a degree of luxury and comfort.

Wales in Style member, Cefnmeurig Cottage, was awarded ‘Best Self-catering Accommodation’ at this year’s awards ceremony on 4 October 2007. This 18th century farmhouse has been renovated with care, imagination and an eye for comfort. Now a five-star graded property, it oozes charm and offers a luxurious ambiance.

This luxury cottage in Wales enjoys a setting of almost 100 acres and provides the perfect retreat for a peaceful and relaxing break with family or friends. All four of the beautifully appointed bedrooms have en-suite facilities and the kitchen, with its wood burning stove, provides the perfect place to gather for food and drinks. There’s also a games room to help keep the children entertained. The cottage sleeps seven and costs from £660 per week.

Wales in Style members, Foxes Reach and Vanilla Cottage, came runner-up in the same category and deservedly so.

Vanilla Cottage is a five-star self-catering cottage with lots of character, tucked away in the beautiful countryside above the River Usk. This 19th century stone built cottage features a traditional interior, including a four poster bed, antique furniture and a wood burning stove. Sleeping three in a double and single bedroom it costs from £239 per week.

Managed by the same people, Foxes Reach caters for larger parties, sleeping six in two double rooms and two singles. This picturesque traditional white washed cottage is located in a tranquil hamlet in Monmouthshire. The interior is traditional and cosy, equipped with a wood burning fire and comfy sofas. Foxes Reach costs from £339 per week.

Other Wales in Style award winners include Call of the Wild, which scooped the prestigious ‘Team Building Award’.
