Polaron makes strategic lighting appointment

Former Strand Lighting European sales director David Catterall has joined Polaron plc as director of business development. His appointment will help drive the strategic development of Polaron's expanding lighting controls business.

Making the announcement, Polaron chief executive Joe Stelzer commented: "I am delighted to bring on-board someone of David's calibre and industry-wide experience."

Catterall has over 20 years' experience in the lighting industry, covering the installation, live music and touring sectors. This experience includes over five years at Zero 88, in the days before it became part of Polaron.

"Right now it's an exciting time in the lighting industry," said Catterall. "The lighting business is evolving rapidly, driven by changing technologies, new products and organisational change. Inevitably this presents a lot of new opportunities which a company like Polaron can exploit. This role will therefore be very challenging and stimulating for me."
