The UK citizens have landed in Bordeaux

Winegrowers, château proprietors and negociants – Bordeaux is home to 1000's of people who earn their keep from the region’s world-famous vineyards.

But it is not just the French who make a living from the diverse wine world of Bordeaux – more and more British people are setting up home and businesses in the area. Here is a summary of some of those who have uprooted from the UK and settled amongst the Bordeaux vines:

Winemakers/Proprietors
•Jonathan Maltus, Château Teyssier (new-wave, modern-style wine from Saint Emilion: www.maltus.com)
•Angela and Gavin Quinney, Château Bauduc (situated in Creon, Entre deux Mers, where they make white, rosé, and red wine: www.bauduc.com)
•Nicola and Sean Allison, Château du Seuil (35km south east of Bordeaux in the Graves region, producing red, white and sweet wines: www.châteauduseuil.com)
•Martin Krajewski, Château de Sours (just to the south-west of Libourne and Pomerol, facing Saint Emilion, producing rosé, red and white wines: www.châteaudesours.com)
