Interlink Software Business Service Management chosen by global service leader Serco

Serco selects Interlink Software’s out-of-the-box BSM solution to further streamline IT infrastructure, applications and systems with core business processes.

Manchester, UK – 29th May 2007 – Interlink Software, a global leader in delivering Business Service Management (BSM), today announced that Serco, one of the world’s leading service and outsourcing companies has selected the Interlink Software BSM solution.

Interlink Software will provide Serco with intuitive real-time and historical Business Service Dashboards, federated Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Enterprise Systems Management capabilities, delivering end-to-end visibility of business services and process flows.

The Interlink Software BSM solution will be implemented by a division of Serco (Serco Solutions) in a process driven IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) aligned initiative. This initiative is designed to further focus the operations of the IT infrastructure, applications and systems on business priorities, and improve the level of service Serco can offer their Clients.

Serco selected Interlink Software following an extensive evaluation process. Interlink Software’s BSM solution was proven to integrate ‘out-of-the box’ with the existing systems and service management tools used by Serco. This will enable Serco to communicate service availability information simply and clearly to their IT support staff, management and to their clients via intuitive web-based Business Service Dashboards.

Serco now has plans to leverage the capabilities of the Interlink Software Service Configuration Manager (SCM) product to further extend and enhance the value of its existing configuration management toolset to obtain the most complete end-to-end service view of its IT infrastructure.
