Cable & Wireless Selects OrgPlus® to Support Global Internal Employee Communication

OrgPlus Pulls HR Data from Company’s SAP System into Organisational Charts


Exeter — 04 October, 2007 — Cable & Wireless, one of the world’s leading international communications companies is using OrgPlus® intelligent organisational charting software to communicate information about it’s 5,000 global employees across the enterprise. With the selection of OrgPlus, the company has initiated improvement of internal communications that lead to improved workforce productivity and efficiency.

OrgPlus generated Cable & Wireless’ charts automatically by pulling data from the company’s SAP system and integrating information such as name, photo, job title, department, location and other essential contact details. The web-enabled charts provide the company with an enterprise-wide directory containing essential information about staff anywhere in the organisation.

OrgPlus Enterprise was seamlessly integrated into the Cable & Wireless IT environment. A day of training was provided to the in-house technical team and the system was quickly rolled out to users via an online user tutorial. OrgPlus features a familiar web-browser interface, so no formal user training was necessary.

Published to the corporate intranet, Cable & Wireless employees have secure access to charts as a staff directory. Additionally, they have the ability to download charts and export them into word processor and spreadsheet programs for presentations and reports.
