15 January 2008 – New company B for Blankie (www.bforblankie.com) has created the perfect gift for babies that combines practicality with an unrivalled level of personalisation. Its range of ultra soft, 100% cotton blankets are personalised with the details that make up the story of the baby’s birth or key milestones, which are embroidered along the satin trim.

The blankets capture important details like a baby’s name, birth weight, time and place of birth or key milestones like a baby’s first smile, tooth or steps in a variety of themes. The satin edges are embroidered to customers’ request and are then sewn on to the blanket to ensure a clean finish.

“With two small children of our own, as well as the growing families of friends and relatives, we are always keen to find baby items that are personal yet practical. B for Blankie combines the two in a gift that will not only be used, but cherished,” says founder of the B for Blankie husband and wife team Ryan Rodrigues.

“There are many personalised baby gifts on the market, but we’ve yet to find any that offer the same level of individual information. What is more, our blankies won’t just gather dust in a corner. They’re designed to be used!” he continues.

Currently available in two cotton weaves – classic herringbone and waffle - and four colours, personalised blankies start at £39.99.
