United Take On Podcast League

The world’s best-supported football club, Manchester United, launches its first series of official podcasts with Audible.co.uk today 10th August 2006. For the 1st time, Manchester United fans can download exclusive content including interviews with club legends such as Eric Cantona and Dwight Yorke - along with dressing room insights from current players - and listen anywhere and anytime…

With over 75 million United fans worldwide, the Official Manchester United Podcast is set to become one of the most popular downloads ever. The podcast series features past and present players; latest club news; celebrity fans and comedy sketches including a Premiership reality show spoof: “Big Bother”.

Hosted by leading UK broadcaster and lifelong United fan Eamonn Holmes, the 1st episode features interviews with three of the club’s greatest ever stars including Paul Scholes speaking about his dramatic return to fitness.

Eamonn also gets an inside account on the Ruud Van Nistelrooy transfer from former striker Dwight Yorke who spent six weeks inside the United camp and witnessed first hand the end of the Van Nistelrooy era. One of United’s finest centre-halves Gary Pallister gives his assessment of the current defence and there’s celebrity fan chat with actor Ralf Little and Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell.

The second episode available for download from 24th August will feature United’s most enigmatic star Eric Cantona in a rare and exclusive interview in which he gives his verdict on the current darling of Old Trafford, England’s Wayne Rooney.
