Recent surveys estimate that less than half of British workers use up their full entitlement to annual leave. Reasons cited for not taking paid holiday often include a heavy workload or fear of upsetting the boss.

With recent reports showing the alarming rate at which the nation is rushing around, it appears the majority are in need of a well-deserved break.
