New Survey - Migraine-Busting Feverfew Leaf Helps Majority of Headache Sufferers

The misery of millions of migraine sufferers may soon be at an end. A new survey by the UKs leading herbal medicine manufacturer, MH Pharma (UK) Ltd, was conducted with members of the Migraine Action Association showing that a daily supplement of dried feverfew leaf may help rid sufferers of the debilitating pain that can ruin their quality of life.

Nearly 100 migraine sufferers took one Feverfew capsule a day for two months. The results show that the majority (60%) had their lives transformed after taking Feverfew Leaf.

Prior to taking the supplement, over half the sufferers had up to 10 headaches a month and 22% suffered more than 10 attacks a month. Their headaches were moderate to severe in 80% of cases, and were said by the vast majority (96%) to affect their abilities at work and reduce their quality of life. After taking the course of Feverfew leaf capsules, most people found that their headaches became less frequent and milder, with many describing themselves as migraine-free, and 64% stated they would continue to take the supplement.

The results of the survey confirm those of previous studies that have documented the ability of dried Feverfew leaf to help stave off the frequency, pain and nausea of migraine type headaches. Feverfew is one of nature’s oldest headache remedies and its therapeutic qualities have long been recognised. (Relevant research referenced in Notes to Editors).

Ann Turner, Director of Migraine Action Association says: “The results of this survey are very encouraging. Migraine is a complex condition and to manage it effectively sufferers require an individualised treatment approach. This survey confirms previous research and indicates that Feverfew Leaf can help to reduce the severity and frequency of migraine attacks and is a useful addition to the range of treatment options available.”

The brand of feverfew leaf taken in the survey is used in Boots Feverfew capsules and MedicHerb Feverfew Leaf capsules. The capsules contain 125mg of high quality dried Feverfew leaf in easy-to-take capsules. Boots Feverfew costs £6.99 for 30 One-a-Day capsules and is available from Boots stores nationwide. Alternatively, MedicHerb Feverfew capsules can be obtained by mail order on 01453 751395.
