ALTERNATIVE EASTER GIFTS

Tamagotchi, the original egg-shaped companion is also a perfect alternative Easter gift. The original pocket-sized Tamagotchi won the nation’s affection by beeping to demand attention from their owners. Its needs included to be fed, play games, clear up after its mess and administer medicine when it gets sick. The Tamagotchi that did not receive enough loving care died returning to virtual heaven, shutting down their screens.
In May 2004 Bandai launched an updated version, Tamagotchi Connexion, which has all the old functions and is able to communicate with other Tamagotchi Connexion via infra-red. As well as playing games, receiving and giving gifts, they can also form relationships and have Tamababies creating new generations of Tamagotchi. Tamagotchi Connexion was voted ‘Toy of the Year’ by the Toy Retailers Association in January 2006.
A new updated version of Tamagotchi Connexion (Version 3) is due for release in April and will feature many more characters, new colours, four new games and the ability to win GOTCHI-POINTS, which will allow you to visit an online Tama Town and buy items from a virtual shop.
