See 90% of the earths plant and animal species in one place on a conservation safari in Madagascar

Isolation and evolution have resulted in a fascinating mix of the bizarre and beautiful in Madagascar where 90% of the plants and animals are found nowhere else on earth. Conservation travel experts Discovery Initiatives have launched a brand new conservation safari to enable people to experience the amazing flora and fauna whilst supporting its preservation.

Indri, colourful chameleons, the highly endangered Aloatran Gentle Lemur and extraordinary reptiles are just a few unique species to be found on this enchanting isle.

Step into Gerald Durrell’s tracks by supporting his pioneering conservation work, fly over the spikes and spires of the impenetrable limestone karst, up to Baly Bay on the west coast and Ankarafantsika – a vast deciduous oasis of forest with troops of Coquerel’s sifaka and incredible birdlife.

This rainbow of wildlife tour will be accompanied by Quentin Bloxham, Durrell’s Conservation Director and local guides.
Finally, unwind on the island paradise of Nosy Be, surrounded by azure seas. This tour offers the most privileged insight into Madagascan nature.
