BREAKING NEWS: UK's leading lifestyle data provider accelerates expansion into digital arena with the acquisition of interactive agency and on-line data collector, 43 PLC

Leading UK consumer data solutions provider DLG has transformed the scale and scope of its digital division through its acquisition of interactive data company 43 plc, as part of its vision to become the UK’s principal hub for collection and supply of direct marketing data across all channels of communication.

43 Plc are specialists in interactive advertising, web-content creation and data provision, and the provider of the UK’s leading internet quiz portal to some of the best known consumer websites such as Yahoo!, Sky Sports, and ITV.com. Through its vast network of partner sites, 43 plc adds to a constantly increasing membership of consumers who willingly opt-in and volunteer lifestyle and geodemographic data for 3rd party marketing, whilst at the same time delivering its partners with up-to date, relevant, fully managed content as well as banner inventory, page impressions, validated data and extra revenue.

Jeremy Whitaker, Chief Executive Officer of DLG says:

“The vast network of partners and affiliates which 43 plc has built up over the years allows DLG instant access to significantly greater audiences of consumers for our ongoing data collection programme.” He adds:
“The expertise which 43 plc brings to our digital division also gives us a giant step-change in our interactive offering to clients, particularly in terms of web-content, data delivery and revenue generation.”

Ian Lowe, MD of 43 plc comments:

“We are delighted that 43 plc is able to make such an immediate contribution to DLG’s digital offering. Online data is at the heart of addressable media as convergent technology gathers pace, and the combination of DLG’s data expertise with 43 plc’s digital know-how will put us at the cutting edge of digital marketing.”

The acquisition of 43 plc, which will be fully integrated into DLG Digital, comes after DLG’s appointment in May by Friends Reunited as data partners, and the recent launch of DLG’s mobile offering.

It also follows a doubling of DLG’s profits over the last 12 months, and a forecast for 2007/08 of £27m sales and £7.9m EBITDA, figures which Jeremy Whitaker has made clear will enable DLG to continue apace with its ambitious expansion plans.
