You can take control of British Airways’ baggage problems at Terminal 5

If you think you can do a better job of moving luggage round Heathrow’s new Terminal 5 than British Airways, here’s your chance.

A new free online game called Terminal Panic has been launched. Players control a character based on Willie Walsh, the airline’s chief executive.

The game, at WeeWillieWalsh.co.uk has been launched by Glasgow games development firm T-Enterprise.

Using your keyboard you control a cartoon Willie Walsh. You have to pick up baggage, scan it in the X-ray machine and then get it to the conveyor belt.

But all the time flights are taking off without bags... and there are luggage trolleys chasing after Willie, knocking the bags out of his hands.

The aim is to get the bags loaded before all the flights have left.

The firm behind it released last week’s Heather Mills game MuccaChucka, where players threw water at Paul McCartney and his lawyer.

Sadia Chishti is the MD of Glasgow bespoke software and game development business T-Enterprise.

She said: “we are big fans of Willie Walsh. He inherited a lot of problems with British Airways and is doing a good job of fixing them. But it’s slow work when you’re doing that in the public eye, as Terminal Five shows.

“This game is just a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun. We hope that BA’s customers will play it around the world while they’re waiting for their bags to reappear.”

T-Enterprise is based in Baillieston, Glasgow

On top of its paid work creating games for clients and the Xbox 360, it builds free online games to raise awareness of issues, as well as have some fun.

The company employs six people and works with businesses across the UK.
