Gazprom Invest in an Avanquest Solution to Manage Documents

Gazprom Marketing and Trading (GM&T), the UK subsidiary of OAO Gazprom, the world’s largest natural gas company, have invested in an Avanquest Enterprise Content Management solution to better manage their business processes.

The bespoke implementation by Avanquest Solutions of an integrated ECM software suite has core competencies in application integration, document imaging, electronic document management, workflow, e-mail management, records management, COLD/ERM and business process automation, giving GAZPROM the tools to better manage and support documentation for their main trading agreements, legal contracts, deal calculations, HR, Finance and IT.

GM&T provides a direct link between the natural gas reserves in Russia and the end user markets in Europe, supplying gas to many of the major wholesale organisations in the UK and to small and medium retail customers in the UK’s industrial and commercial market. .

As a fast growing business, both in the UK and Internationally, Gazprom needed to have better management of all documents. Soner Yaris, IT Director at Gazprom, wanted an easily administered solution which was user friendly and integrated easily with existing back-office systems. Having examined several candidate suppliers, he selected Avanquest Solutions for this key business application.

The ECM suite will become an integral part of the information management solutions at GM&T, assisting with business process management and compliance.
