CONTRACT IS UP FOR RECRUITMENT AGENCIES

An innovative and independent Facebook application has been launched today, offering businesses and individuals the opportunity to seek out candidates with desirable and relevant skills for their current job position. The application offers a meeting platform for the skilled and skill seekers; missing out time wasted with recruitment agencies.

An innovative online application has launched today, offering businesses and individuals an online meeting platform, bringing together the ‘skilled’ and ‘skill seekers’.

The application allows skill seekers to hunt for people with relevant skills for their current job position and in addition, skilled job seekers can create a profile, showcasing their skills and job requirements; making the whole process of job or candidate hunting simple and hassle free.

www.Skillzbase.com is opening its doors to Facebook users to showcase individuals’ skills to a worldwide marketplace. The site is currently in Beta and a more comprehensive version will be coming in the near future.

The application allows users to register their skills and/or experience, such as web developer or computer programmer, the region in which they are hoping to work and their desired salary, all free of charge.

The ‘skill seekers’ can then browse profiles at ease, narrowing their search via relevant criteria, until they spot and select the appropriately skilled individual.

The application offers a rates system, in which, much like popular online auction sites, users are able to rate people based on their performance; if a candidate is selected for a job but fails to turn up, the skill seeker can give them a low Skillzbase rating; thus preventing other skill seekers from selecting this candidate in the future.

Sam Fianu, co-founder of Skillzbase, talks about the launch of this website:

“We are all really excited about the launch of Skillzbase and are eager to see it work to its full potential. We’ve all been job seekers at one stage in our lives and this site is dedicated to taking the stress away from what can be a very stressful time.”

Fianu continues;

“Recruitment agencies can be very secretive – candidates aren't given any company details and are rarely given the chance to directly communicate with the employer until the interview stage. Skillzbase just misses out the middle man – you come to the site knowing what you’re looking for and all information is given to you. It is a much shorter, more direct and much more pro-active approach.”
