Soaring numbers of overseas investors look for rental boost

Inundated with enquiries about how to maximise rental income holidaylettings has its busiest overseas property exhibition yet

holidaylettings.co.uk came away from this weekend’s A Place in the Sun Live! at Birmingham’s NEC with a record number of leads. Over 120 visitors registered their details with the UK’s No.1 holiday home website with a view to letting out their overseas investment property.

“Interest from potential holiday homeowners was phenomenal”, says Ross Elder, MD of holidaylettings.co.uk. “The demand for post-purchase information demonstrates that increasing numbers of overseas property investors are in a situation where they need to maximise rental income in order to cover mortgage and maintenance costs.”

All new registrants were entered into a prize draw to win a year’s free advertising. The winners Wendy and Eddie Davies from Macclesfield have recently purchased a property on the edge of the White Mountains in Western Crete. New to the holiday home rental arena Wendy was overwhelmed on hearing the news: “This is just the boost we need. We’ve spent so much getting Villa Mia ready and this extra advertising injection will hopefully pull in the holidaymakers we need to start appreciating some return on our investment.”
