EZGOV EUROPE SIGNS CONTRACT WITH THE NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE (NHS) IN WALES

EzGov Europe to help implement gateway technology in NHS Wales….

London, 08 October 2007: EzGov Europe, www.ezgoveurope.com, the UK’s market leader in enabling successful e-Government, today announced that it has won its first commission in the UK public Healthcare sector. The company has been chosen by Informing Healthcare, www.wales.nhs.uk/ihc - the Welsh Assembly Government programme set up to transform the way healthcare services are delivered across NHS Wales over the next ten years, through better use of IT and information.

Informing Healthcare sought a partner with broad experience in User-Centred Design, Government Gateway integration and the capability to assess and manage the organisational changes. Initially, EzGov will provide advice on the use of Government Gateway technologies with a particular focus on usability and security. EzGov has been helping governments to assess and implement transformative e-government technology for almost a decade and more than 80% of the online transactions processed by the UK Government Gateway are powered by EzGov solutions.

Gateway technology will be evaluated by Informing Healthcare over the coming months to see if it can be used to support patient’s online access to health services and to patient information (such as their health record).
