ANNOUNCING THE PREMIERE GLOBAL YOUTH AWARDS
The Global Youth Lyceum presents the premiere Global Youth Awards - an online and global initiative. http://www.globalyouth.net
The goal of the Global Youth Awards is to acknowledge the achievements of exceptional young people around the world and crucially to inspire other young people to achieve great heights as their peers (laureates) have and to know that good achievements are recognised and appreciated.
Initially, awards will be given in seven main categories. These are:
* Arts
* Education
* Environment
* Enterpreneurship
* Humanos
* Leadership
* Science & Technology
These will be reviewed and expanded over time and in response to consultation with faculty and members of the Global Youth Lyceum.
The Global Youth Awards will culminate in an awards night where laureates will be presented with their prizes. The awards will be a celebration of youth, culture and most importantly music!
Laureates will receive prizes comprising of a plaque, cash (prize), a hamper of corporate products and a scholarship package to help pursue their efforts.
In accordance with the founder's desire to ensure that the Global Youth Awards eventually attains a self-sustaining status, the Global Youth Lyceum will compile a set of Commemorative Music albums that will be released prior to the actual ceremony in the Autumn of every year.
The Commemorative Albums set will feature several genres of contemporary music that will appeal to all ages and races. Crucially though all music tracks will represent inspirational or uplifting themes and devoid of any offensive lyrics. Contributing artists donating their tracks will provide original music either written specifically for the Awards or adapted for it. Although the selection of music will be open to all, it is envisaged that the commemorative albums will be an opportunity for many unknown artists to gain new audiences or broaden their appeal.
All profits from the sale of the music tracks/downloads will go towards nominated youth projects and the Awards fund for the next year's programme.
