VALUABLE ADVICE FOR CHRISTMAS PARTY GALS

The party season is upon us and its frocks at the ready for festive frolics. We all know alcohol takes its toll but if you’re prone to bouts of the dreaded UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) ‘burn’ here’s some invaluable, practical advice to make sure you’re not stuck drinking Cranberry this Christmas.

50% of women will suffer cystitis at some point and alcohol is a big trigger. Professor Janice Rymer, (Kings College, London) offers some down to earth advice on keeping the burn at bay this Christmas:

1)Water, Wine, Water, Wine
Drink plenty of water to help flush alcohol through the system. (It’ll help ease the hangover too).

2)Ban the ‘Smellies’
Exotic sounding lotions and potions we get in our Christmas stocking smell good enough to eat, but may not be the best for sensitive intimate skin. In the same way as facial skin can be irritated by lotions and potions, the delicate skin down there can be easily upset by perfumed or high pH wash products. 3)Sex…Mmmh, ARGH!

Try a looser fit and cotton underwear to minimise attacks, and if you get hot on the dance floor keep a wipe handy for a quick freshening in the loo.
