THE DANGERS OF COSMETIC SURGERY
This Monday’s Daily Mail (11th August 08) will feature an article on the ageing effects of cosmetic surgery. The expert in the feature is Doctor. Michael Prager, written and researched by Shoshana Goldberg. This is a very important article and the 1st of its kind and highlights not just the usual effects of plastic surgery but the long term ageing consequences. The feature offers a glimpse into the future of what is to be expected to happen in England in a couple of years. Plastic surgery has become very popular in the last 4 years due to the increasing popularity of make-over programs on TV and other media activity. However we will soon see the backlash from that. Doctor Michael Prager was the 1st practitioner to be able to predict a trend for the UK that has already started in the USA. Shoshana Goldberg has done some fantastic research and put solid evidence behind Doctor Prager’s hypothesis of the ageing effects of surgery. The cosmetic industry is expected to break through the £1 billion mark in 2008.
