Octaveward Portable Mortuary Meets Seasonal Demand and Emergency Peaks

Bad weather, holidays, frozen ground, seasonal illnesses or upgrading existing facilities can all create pressures on mortuary capacity. Specialist mortuary design and fit-out contractor, Octaveward, has an instant solution in the form of two fully fitted portable mortuaries built within standard sized re-locatable buildings. The units are available at twenty four hours notice for hire periods of one month or more.

Users who can benefit from using portable mortuaries include hospitals, health trusts, emergency planning organisations, funeral services, Ministry of Defence, foreign Ministries, far eastern hospital projects and overseas aid agencies.

Complete mobile re-locatable suites can be designed to order and delivered to site in four to six weeks. In addition to cold rooms and clinical facilities, other options include waiting rooms, viewing areas, offices, toilets, shower and changing facilities. The specification and layout of each unit depends on client needs. In all cases, they'll meet the health and safety standards required.

Portable units are generally based on a standard 40 by 12 foot jack-leg cabins. These can be installed on any reasonably level site, such as car parks and paved areas or on prepared sites with concrete pads to take the cabin legs. Units are supplied in a clean and sterile condition. Once connected to mains services the units are available for immediate use.
